Rain pounded down on the High Elves of the Shukbanda mountain clan as they lay hidden amongst the reeds of the swamp. A company of the Imperial Royal Guard tromped noisily through the marsh with all of their human arrogance. The Elves had heard them coming almost half of a league away, sloshing and kicking, grumbling amongst themselves, smelling heavily of meat and ale.
